Government policy impacts social justice problems. Some policies may create social justice problems just as they attempt to correct them.
As a social worker at an agency dedicated to addressing social justice issues impacting a community, you have selected a currently enacted policy (local, state or federal level) to provide assistance to community members (this should be the same policy selected at the conclusion of the Week 2 Assignment). This will be the policy you use for this assignment as well as the Weeks 6 and 9 assignments. Be sure to incorporate constructs that have been covered in this course into your analysis. You will use your work you complete throughout the course to form your conclusions on continued effectiveness and recommendations for change in the upcoming assignments.

Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you will continue your work as the social worker at an agency addressing issues of social justice in your community. You have selected a specific policy at the local, state, or federal level that is current. Some examples are the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), Veterans Millennium Healthcare Act, Affordable Care Act (ACA), Adoption and Safe Families Act, the Temporary Aid to Needy Families Act (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Social Security Act (Medicare, Medicaid), or a relevant state or local policy, such as state or local affordable housing policies or health and safety policies related to the pandemic.To be successful in your role as a social worker, you must have the knowledge and skills to understand the purpose of the policy selected, its connection to the relevant social justice issue, and understand its history and development as well as how it might be utilized to assist your community.For this assignment, complete the following:Describe the purpose of the currently enacted policy you selected that addresses the social justice problem for a chosen population, using scholarly literature for support.
