This assignment is your next step in developing your final research papers. Annotated bibliographies are meant to provide a works cited entry for a source that you plan on utilizing, but these entries must contain a standard MLA citation and a brief contextual paragraph explaining the significance of the source and how it can apply to your research. This contextual paragraph will require you to use your critical thinking skills to extrapolate necessary information from the source that you choose.
You will complete a citation and annotation (paragraph) for 8 scholarly articles.
Your paragraphs should include a brief summary of the thesis and the main argument of the article: What kind of text are you analyzing? Is it an article? Is it a book? Provide a brief summary of the piece’s main argument and the conclusions that the author draws. I would also like you to include a usefulness statement at the conclusion of your paragraph briefly detailing why the article specifically applies to your research and how you will later use it in your final research paper.
As always, your written work should follow these guidelines:
A proper MLA heading
A proper MLA citation for your source
Text should be double-spaced and written in Times New Roman 12pt Font
Word Count (for each contextual paragraph): Between 250-500 words
Important - Read this before proceeding
