Assessment Descriiption
A constant for fundraisers is determining the most effective use of finite time and resources for the highest possible return in dollars raised (also known as return on investment, or ROI). It is also true that the most likely future donors are past donors. Among past donors, the characteristics that lead to higher levels of giving are:
highest dollar amount of any single past gift/donation (amount of giving)
overall total number of gifts regardless of amount (frequency of giving)
repeat donors (consistency of giving)
zip code of residence (the highest wealth zip codes per capita in Arizona are 85253 and 85262 – geography of giving)
With these realities in mind, analyze the Excel spreadsheet titled “Non Profit Organization Database” adapted from a local nonprofit organization to answer these questions:
Which five of these donors should be your highest priorities for building relationships that could result in giving more than they have already given? (A numbered list or bullets are acceptable.)
Why do you believe these donors should be your highest priorities? Provide details of your reasoning for each (at least 250 words).
What strategies will you use to engage these donors to persuade them to give more (at least 250 words)?
Be sure to cite three to five relevant scholarly sources in support of your content. Use only sources found at the GCU Library, government websites, or those provided in topic Resources.
